One of the things that played a large role in revolutionizing the role of mobile phones is the installment of various multimedia gadgets into its makeup. First of all is the camera. Once we were able to start taking pictures, it became easier than ever to record events. This became especially true when, not long after, video recording was also made possible. And then, mobile phones also turned into music players. All of a sudden, CD players and other portable music players actually became obsolete. After all, why should you carry around all that extra bulk when you could have it all on your mobile phone?
